The Albion Middle School Academic Honor Society (NJHS - National Junior Honor Society) meets throughout the school year. In order to be eligible for the National Junior Honor Society, students must be in either 7th or 8th grade. Their grade point average for the last 4 quarters must be 93% and in no quarter may their grade point average fall below a 90%. Eligible students must complete an application that includes 3 letters of reference. They also must write a brief essay explaining why they meet the characteristics of the National Junior Honor Society. The society's annual induction ceremony is held each spring. Academically eligible seventh and eighth grade candidates are invited to apply for membership based on the criteria of leadership, citizenship, character, and service.

The NJHS members conduct several school and community service projects.NJHS members participate in many community service projects throughout the year. Past activities have included being ushers at the Middle School Open House and the Community Cultural Diversity Day, tutoring at the Elementary School, ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, and teaming up with the High School Interact Club to organize a T-shirt and canned food drive.
