Middle
School Special Education Teacher Shari Berg was honored at the Annual
Board of Education reception held on June 2, 2008. Shari was chosen
as the Albion Central School Educator of the Year after nominations
were received from both staff and community members. Shari has been
a district employee for the last seven years. The nomination form
stated, “Shari molds the minds and bodies of the students
in her room, she positively engages any student within the building.
Her personality and work ethic are a perfect fit for a middle level
educator. To observe her working is truly a joy. As you watch her
interact with her students, you will not only notice her caring
ways through observation, but you will feel it in your heart as
well. Shari definitely represents everything we stand for at ACS.”
Shari
is a member of the Albion Middle School Schedule Committee, the
Student Support Team and is very much involved with the Special
Olympics. She is also the production assistant for the high school
plays and musicals.
The
reception also recognized retirees: John Adriance, Karen Imburgia,
Al Johnson, Steve McKenna and Cheryl Nudd for their dedication to
the students of the district. Congratulations to the following staff
that have attained tenure: Melody Beecher, Patricia Levendowski,
Stephanie Krull, Holly McNair, Laura Rog, Cassie Monacelli, Lisa
Swindon, Jerry Piwko, Lori Kiefer, Kristen Martin, and Bridgitte
Griffin.
