Niagara-Orleans Physical Educators participate in a team building exercise designed
to ready students for the ropes course. Albion staff members provided a training
day for educators. The training focused on skill development, teamwork, cooperation,
problem solving, critical/creative thinking and character education.) Albion
maintains and operates a high challenge and low challenge ropes course elements
and initiative games for its students and interested community members. Among
other things, the exciting course teaches team building, leadership, decision-making
skills, and numerous principles consistent with the district's character education
program. Students
in the Middle and High Schools take advantage of the unique opportunities this
teaching format provides. Any
outside group who is interested in using the course should contact the district
office (589-2050) for information on availability, cost, and insurance requirements. |
