The "open country" is ideal for hunting and hiking. Just nine miles north of the village, Lake Ontario, Oak Orchard Creek and Lakeside's State Park provide boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing and camping.

The ever-popular Six Flags Darien Lake amusement park and world famous Niagara Falls spectacular cap off the summer entertainment opportunities.

Numerous snow skiing resorts also rest within driving distance. Fall foliage and spring greenery complete Albion's unending seasonal attractions.

The Albion Betterment Committee works diligently in the community on improving the area. Some of their projects: planting ornamental dogwood trees and placing bluebird and kestrel boxes in the community to attract these beautiful birds to the area in hopes of one day making Orleans County the number one county for bluebirds.

Bolstered by city shopping malls, many shopping facilities are available in Albion. The Albion Business Association works to bring businesses to the historic downtown area and offers annual events and festivals during the holiday season.

Fraternal, service and social organizations also abound in Albion. They include: Rotary, Lions, St. Mary's Athletic Club, Elks, B.P.W., Chamber of Commerce, V.F.W., I.O.O.F., and American Legion.

The community boasts many historic buildings and the unique Mount Albion cemetery that are all listed on the national register of historic places. The Albion village architecture makes it a favorite stop for visits by historical societies and college history classes.
