COMPUTER SCIENCE MST
1 CREDIT (MST)
In this class you will be completing an MST project in computer
science. This is an independent project class and most of your
time will be involved in the research and development of a project.
The project will involve one technology standard and one Math
or one Science standard. Possible projects include (but are not
limited to) artificial intelligence, natural language processing,
physics based simulations, data base management as applied to
science research, history of computer technology or languages.
The science department MST project will be the basis for this
MST project as well. Students must participate in the MST Fair
for credit.

This course is the sequel to Cisco I and will cover the more advanced
topics of network design, including commercial connections to
the internet via T1/T3, ISDN, DSL, and CABLE broadband connections.
It also covers advanced fully switched network fabrics, common
in large computer network installations. Upon completion of this
course, students will be prepared to take the Cisco CCNA certification
exam. This is the most sought after certification in the networking
