The coaches have chosen their athletes of the week for October 7 - 12.
They are pictured (l-r): Jacob Hughson, Cody Wilson, Bonnie DiCureia, Chris Porter. Absent from photo: Leah Pritchard.
Coach Bennett commented, "Jacob Hughson was the anchor in the second half of our game against Amherst rushing for 200 yards and a TD. He showed that hard work does pay off. We are so proud of this young man."
Coach Krenning commented, "Cody Wilson has worked hard on football, always striving to be his best and make others around him better. His leadership - although quiet - kids follow him and his leadership. This was proven this last week when he received character leadership award for his poise on the field against Amherst. Cody is the true meaning of Character and is a true role model for all to follow."
Coach Price commented, "Bonnie DiCureia has been one of the hardest working players on our team. In both practices and games she consistently demonstrates high levels of energy, effort, and enthusiasm. She constantly and relentlessly battles for possession of the ball each and every game, and has learned to be more aggressive with passes and shots in the attacking 3rd of the field. Her desire to win influences her teammates leading them to work harder as both individuals and as a group."
Coach Bennett commented, "Chris Porter had an awesome day on the offensive and defensive line; anchoring them to a shout out. He showed that hard work does pay off. We are so proud of this young man."
Coach Orbaker commented, "Leah plays defender on the Albion Varsity Girls Soccer team. This is Leah’s 2nd full season on the Girls’ Varsity team. Leah is a key center defender and a leader of our defense. Most importantly, Leah is a leader by example. She treats her teammates and opponents with respect. You can often hear Leah encouraging her teammates at practice and in games. Leah always demonstrates the I Got Your Back mentality, both in how she plays and in her character."
Congratulations to our athletes of the week!
