Timeline for the Superintendent Search
Below is a timeline of the superintendent search. It was created by the search consultants and approved by the Board of Education.
Initial meeting to outline with the Board and agree on search process focus groups, steps and calendar.
Community survey is launched.
Focus groups consisting of staff, students, parents and community are formed and meetings are conducted. Groups will be asked to identify the following: desired traits, characteristics and behaviors of the new superintendent as well as challenges and opportunities the new superintendent will face.
Consultants will compile focus group information to share with the Board of Education. They will create a brochure about the District and the superintendent search.
Application period opens and active recruitment begins.
Application window closes.
Consultants meet with Board to review credentials of identified candidates and the Board will select semi-finalists to interview.
Interviews take place.
Finalists will be identified and final interviews with the Board will take place.
A new superintendent will be selected and appointed by the Board.
January 1, 2021 (no later than)
Start date of new superintendent.
