Grab & Go Meals Distribution Schedule

Superheroes deliver lunch

Superheroes Officer G and Assistant Principal Beaumont deliver lunch!

The first day of food distribution took place on March 18th.

At 9am, a group of elementary school staff greeted families as they pulled up to the elementary school entrance.

Staff enjoyed seeing smiles on student faces as they handed meals to families through car windows.

Groups of administrators, teachers, support staff and bus drivers also loaded up school vehicles with grab and go meals and headed out to five remote locations..

In total, 322 meals were distributed to Albion District families on that first day.  The numbers have been steadily increasing to over 440 meals.

Support staff, led by Assistant Principal Kevin Beaumont, were ready to greet families.

Some Sodexo kitchen staff members are seen here making bagged lunches.  This wonderful group of ladies have been doing a great job organizing and preparing meals.

Some of our STA bus drivers stepped up and were happy to help staff load and deliver meals to remote sites. Pictured: Bus driver Greg Marston assists support staff members Nancy Moore and Deb Jones as they load the bus and get ready to head out to one of our remote locations. They brought food (and their own sunshine) with them!

High School Band teacher Mike Thaine and support staff members Elisha Hill and Betsy Wolcott distributed food at Barre Center Presbyterian Church.

High School Principal Jenn Ashbery took a quick break from loading the bus to pose with our bus driver Ellen Wuesthoff and support staff members Sue McGaffick and Val Rush before heading out to their remote site.

The staff did a stellar job organizing and issuing grab and go bags.  They are ready to do it all over again tomorrow.

We will be distributing on Mondays (two lunches and two breakfasts) and Wednesdays (three lunches and three breakfasts).
