Two students from Albion’s Ronald L. Sodoma School were honored as part of the Board of Education (BOE) meeting on March 1.

The virtual meeting featured a pre-recorded video of Elementary School Principal Maura Pierce presenting fifth-graders Seth Horn and Logan Prest with the BOE Character and Leadership Awards for the month of March.

“Seth returned to us from remote learning in January and has very easily taken on a positive role in the classroom,” Pierce explained as she presented Horn with the BOE Character Award.

In nominating Horn, his teacher Meghan Kania said, “He always has a smile on his face, puts his best effort forth in everything he does, and offers help to anyone in need. Seth truly exemplifies the Eagle way in all of his day-to-day actions.”

Logan PrestPrest was awarded the Leadership Award for the month of March. According to Prest’s teacher, Rachel Lundmark, it is clear that he prioritizes his school work.

“He is a great class participant and I can tell that the other students look up to Logan for how hard he works,” Lundmark said. “Logan is a great leader and also a wonderful friend. I know that this quality will take Logan very far in life, and I am proud to have him in my classroom.”

Congratulations Seth and Logan!
