November 3 is Election Day and Service Learning teacher Tim Archer prepared his students by teaching them about civic engagement, constitutional rights and the importance of voting.
Locally, the Orleans County Board of Elections supplied voter registration forms so that the students could practice filling them out.
"It helps our kids understand the registration process for when they turn 18 and provides a discussion point with their parents," Archer said.
Last week, the students also participated in a mock presidential election.
The results were read over the morning announcements, overwhelmingly favoring President Donald Trump, today.
The classes will be able to compare their results with the national results when those are officially released.
