NJHS 2023 Food Drive

Students in Albion Middle School's National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) recently wrapped up their Annual Food Drive and dropped off their donations over Veterans Day weekend.

Albion’s NJHS hosts the food drive each year in order to help ease the stress of the holiday season. The group, built on promoting scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship, collected four boxes of food and donated the items to Community Action.

NJHS Vice President Sophia B. said that spreading awareness and seeing people come together is one of the best parts of the drive.

“My favorite part is going into classrooms and talking to students and teachers,” Sophia said. “It’s important to share with others what we are doing and why it matters.”

NJHS President Aniela W. agreed, explaining she had fun organizing and hosting the food drive this year.

“It’s fun to give back,” Aniela said. “It feels good to help others and know that we are making a difference in our community.”
