The Albion Elementary Student Lighthouse Team (SLT) recently received the Excellence in Student Service Award from the Genesee Valley School Boards Association.
Implemented just last school year as part of the districtwide Leader in Me initiative, the SLT has been purposeful and action-oriented in efforts to support a strong, positive, and student-centered school culture. They empower their peers to take ownership of making the school a safe, welcoming, and engaging place to learn and lead. The team allows students to be at the center of leadership, service, and school improvement. It nurtures well-rounded learners who are prepared to lead with confidence, character, and compassion. The district is proud of their impressive display of dedication, enthusiasm and hard work this school year.
