Mrs. Zayac’s child development class worked on creating blankets this week that will be included in care packages for children in foster care. It was a great way for students to work on a skill while helping a community need!

Sophomores: Some representatives from BOCES will be coming out to present on the various vocational programs that they have to offer. They will be here on Thursday, December 1st at 9:30 in the LGI. If you are interested in learning more about the great opportunities available at BOCES, please sign up in the Counseling Office. A follow up tour of the site will be held on December 16th, with more info to come. Any and all sophomores are encouraged to attend.

Attention Juniors!: The Counseling Department is offering the PSAT (practice SAT) on Wednesday, October 12th from 8:00 until approximately 11:30 in the LGI. The PSAT is geared toward students who are anticipating attending a four year college directly after high school. The PSAT/NMSQT includes a Reading Test, Writing and Language Test, and Math Test. It can qualify you for the National Merit Scholarship Program and other scholarships. If you would like to take the test, please sign up and pay in the Counseling Office. The cost of the test is $18.00. If payment is a problem, please see your counselor.
