Alex Bradshaw, Kelly Uderitz and Lorrie Stutzman's classes had a fantastic time on their recent field trip to Letchworth State Park. They got to explore the park, including its Autism Sensory Trail, where there was plenty of hands-on learning!

Sherry Zayac's HS Independent Living class spent their first week of the new school year learning about and closely maintaining their own sourdough starters! Today, they got to start their morning by cooking pancakes with their sourdough starter discard. 🥞

Did you know a sourdough starter is a living culture of wild yeast and bacteria created by mixing flour and water, which serves as natural leavening agent? The wild yeasts consume sugars in the flour and produces and traps carbon dioxide, which creates the bubbles and texture in bread, while the bacteria create lactic and acetic acids, contributing to the signature sour taste.

Lots of excitement at district wide Back to School Night as students and families got acclimated to new buildings, teachers and schedules in preparation for a great 2025-26 school year!

Thank you to the Albion Elks Club for generously donating $2,000 of various clothing and hygiene items to our Elementary School. They will be donating another $2,000 in coats and other needed items this school year as well. We are beyond appreciative of their partnership and continued support!

REMINDER | Tuesday, 9/2 from 4:30-6:30 pm is our district wide Back to School Night where students and families are invited to come and tour their buildings, get their schedules, and meet their teachers before the first day of school on Wed., 9/3. There will be several food trucks at the front loop of the high school beginning at 4 p.m.. See you there!
