Help Desk

The Help Desk provides live support from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, when school is in session. During the summer the hours are availble from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Help Desk can be contacted by phone 589-2090, by fax at 589-2099, or by email at help@albionk12.org

PowerSchool login information is only provided by return email to protect the privacy of the student. Please include your full name and relation to the student and the student’s full name and grade level.  Please add the word PowerSchool to the subject line to make it easier to identify.

PowerSchool Status and Support
PowerSchool is routinely shutdown for routine maintenance on Wednesday evenings and occasionally on the weekends. The outages are normally brief, lasting less than 60 minutes. If you receive a "Time Out" error it is normally an indicator that the server is down for maintenance.

PowerSchool Login and Password issues
The number one issue with passwords is that the underlying programming in PowerSchool prevents passwords from being saved by your local browser. If you try to save the password a string of dots appears automatically in the password line. This is not your password. You must delete the dots and retype the password to gain access.

Second Issue "Google-ing" PowerSchool
There are thousands of PowerSchool schools around the world. If you google PowerSchool and try to login to a PowerSchool server it is not likely to be our server in Albion. The link at the top of the page should be https://powerschool.albionk12.org/public/ if you do not see albionk12.org in the address bar you are not on our site.

Data Security

In this digital age, our teachers and students make use of many websites and online applications to assist and enrich the student learning experience. For more information, please visit the NYS Senate website or reference the provided materials below.

Parents - Monitor Student Progress with PowerSchool

PowerSchool, the system that manages student information in the District, is available for both parents and students to keep up on academic progress, attendance and any outstanding balances that a student may have from things such as overdue library books or lunch money owed to the district.

If you are new to the District, please contact the Technology Department by email at help@albionk12.org to receive login information. Please provide in the body of the email: your students’ full name, grade level, and your full name, contact information and relationship to the child.  Login information will only be provided by reply email to help ensure the security of student information.

Presenting in Albion

If you are giving a presentation at the Albion Central School District please note the following:

We do not have any Apple cabling devices to connect MacBooks to projectors. All of our projectors have standard VGA connectors. You must provide the adapter if you are presenting from your own Mac Book.

We normally have laptops available with projectors if you can provide us with your presentation on a USB flash drive in Power Point or Open Office formats.

Please send a list of web sites that will be used during the presentation to the Help Desk (help@albionk12.org) as soon as possible so that we can verify access through our firewall and web filter. If you have media files you would like to use during the presentation (mp3, audio cd, video clips on disk, etc.) please contact us as soon as possible so that we can ensure that we have the proper drivers in place to support your files.

Tech Support can provide a tech person in advance of your presentation to assist in setup and presentation configurations.
