The annual Fourth Grade Spelling Bee took place on Thursday, April 11, 2024 with three students advancing on to the regional competition.
Ben Nesbitt, Gianna Hyde and Paul Barie finished as the top three competitors. Ruby Sanders took fourth place and will be the alternate for regionals. The next step in the competition will take place at Wilson High School on May 4.
Competitors this year included Joshua Eade, Naomi Burns, Lily Colonna, Liliana Botello, Olivia Daniels, Vincent Sweet, Lydia Tower, Charlotte Bannister, Esmae Capurso, Annabelle Leddon, Hadley Farner, Jace DiMatteo, Lincoln Voorhees, Aspen Gillette, Kaylin Gannon, Leah Warne, Leighton Kincaid, Uriel Garcia Agustin, Amare Griffin and Bailey Elliott. Alternates for this competition included Camden Holt and Sebastian Stritzinger.
