softball team members gather on pitcher's circle

The Purple Eagle's varsity softball team is hosting a Strike Out Cancer Game on Monday, May 2 at 7:15 p.m. versus Medina.

The softball boosters will be collecting donations at the game to be donated to the Knights-Kaderli Fund, a local organization that helps those who are fighting cancer.

Students will be wearing special t-shirts at school and pre-game on Monday and those attending the game will have an opportunity to fill out a card with the name of someone who they are "going to bat for," honoring those who are battling, have battled, or who have lost their life to the disease.

The game will be held under the lights on the varsity softball field, located behind the football stadium.
