Dear Purple Eagle Families,
On Saturday, May 14, a heinous act of violence and hate occurred in Buffalo, N.Y. This is another reminder that hate is an evil and dangerous force. We must meet hate head-on with love! I encourage and call on everyone in our schools and our community to stand in the gap and seek healing and love and not hatred. Hate only concretes the divisions that exist. We must respect the will, aspirations and needs of all people. We have more in common than that which divides us!
