Did you enjoy the Super Bowl? The middle school staff hosted a SOUPer Bowl this past Friday in honor of the big game. What a fun way to share in some food and friendship with coworkers!

There were a lot of seniors around the elementary school today - senior citizens that is!
The 100th day of school allows us to have some fun while also incorporating some creative lessons and projects for our students.

We are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful counseling staff here at ACS. We are continually thankful for all that you do. Take the time to thank your counselor this week!

The high school's Snow Ball is back! Tickets are available in lunches this week.

Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Students can sign up for their activity during lunches this week and are encouraged to dress up!

National Weather Service data indicates wind chill temperatures for the remainder of the week will be in the single digits or negative numbers. Please make sure to remind your children to dress appropriately for the bus stop. We have instructed our bus drivers to take an extra pause at each stop. Stay warm!

February is Black History Month. The middle school Multicultural Club placed posters around the school and has activities planned for the week of February 6-10:

Thursday: Lunch with Ms. Brittany & a film
Friday: Dress in yellow, red and/or green
Love and kindness is in the air this month! National Junior Honor Society and MS Spanish Club members spent time creating Valentine's cards for nursing home residents.
It’s National Hot Chocolate Day and Mrs. Flansburg’s class decided to celebrate while also discussing ways to spread kindness.




Ms. Krahel's art classes created these awesome works while also learning about saving our oceans. These masterpieces are inspired by The Washed Ashore Project. They are a fun addition to our hallways!

A cool collaboration: Mrs. Morales was interested in some new artwork for the library, so the art club painted these lovely phases of the moon and the woodworking class built frames for them. They are a great addition to our school’s decor!
