We are pleased to share that the Albion BOE has appointed Mike Sanders as Albion’s new Athletic Director.
Sanders has taught middle and high school English for 16 years, the past 8 at Albion schools. He is a proud Albion alumni and dedicated member of the community. He has coached in various capacities at Albion since 2018, most recently taking on the role of varsity wrestling coach in 2022. He brings a passion, familiarity, and deep commitment into the new role.
“Education and athletics have truly defined my life, and that foundation was built right here in Albion,” said Sanders. “Growing up as a Purple Eagle taught me the value of community, grit, and pride. It’s that same deep-rooted love for the Albion community and athletics that makes me want to give back to our athletes and coaches, help elevate our athletic tradition, and guide them toward success.”
Please join us in congratulating him and wishing him well as he transitions into his new role. Read the full announcement here: https://www.albionk12.org/article/3092526

🏈ONE TEAM, ONE STANDARD🏈 Today is the official first day of practice for the Orleans County (OC) Rivals, Albion and Medina's newly merged football program. After announcing plans to join forces earlier this year, it's time to meet the coaches who will set the standard for the new era. The coaching staff, composed of both new and returning coaches from both schools, are eager to guide players from a united front and build a strong foundation for an exciting journey ahead. When asked what it means to them to be a part of the OC Rivals’ inaugural season, a common response was echoed; “It’s an honor.” Get to know the coaching staff at the link: https://www.albionk12.org/article/3071549
